Embed a MineRate server widget on your website
The Widgets tool provides embed examples for the selected server. Use its generated code rather than copying another project’s listing ID.
Checked against the MineRate dashboard ·Preview the selected server, copy its code, and check the result on a narrow screen.
Before you start
- Your server selected in the owner dashboard.
- Permission to add HTML embeds on your community website.
Step-by-step instructions
Open Widgets for the correct project
Choose your server, then open Widgets. Confirm that the preview displays your project before copying a status widget, mini banner or voting link.
Choose an embed your website supports
Use the iframe example if your website allows embeds, or use a normal link when it does not. Keep the generated news_id parameter: it identifies the MineRate listing and is not necessarily the internal server_id.
Paste the code in a trusted HTML block
Use your website’s custom HTML or embed editor, rather than a plain text paragraph. Keep the HTTPS address. The destination website may need to allow MineRate frames in its own Content Security Policy.
Check mobile width and loading
A fixed-width banner can exceed a narrow content column. Make its container responsive and test the actual result before publishing. The example may use lazy loading for an offscreen widget; avoid making that widget your main above-the-fold content.
Review status and links after changes
The widget reads MineRate monitoring data when loaded, which can be cached. It is not a live game console or a guarantee of login availability. Review embeds if the project’s listing or public URL changes.
If something does not work
- The code displays as text
- Use an HTML/embed block. Some hosted website editors intentionally remove iframe tags; use a normal listing or voting link if embeds are not supported.
- The frame is blocked
- Check the browser message and the destination website’s frame policy. Do not disable the website’s full security policy; allow only the required trusted embed origin if you control that configuration.
- It displays another server
- Regenerate the code after selecting your project. Do not manually substitute an internal server ID for the generated news_id value.
Common questions
Does a widget automatically grant voting rewards?
No. A voting link opens the voting page. Reward delivery must be configured separately through webhook or Votifier.
Does the status widget test Minecraft authentication?
No. It displays monitoring information. Player login, whitelist and client compatibility are separate checks.
