Online status
MineRate sends a Minecraft status request to the public address you enter. “Online” means it answered that request. “No response” can also mean a wrong port, a temporary restart, a firewall, or a different edition.
Check a public Java or Bedrock server without adding it to the catalog. Enter its address to see whether it responds right now, how many players are online, its version, and its message of the day.

These values come from the server’s status response. They can change at any moment and may differ from the version or player capacity shown in a directory listing.
The measurement is between the server and MineRate’s monitoring host. Your own in-game ping depends on your location, provider, and network route.
