How to join a Minecraft Bedrock server on PC or mobile

On Windows, Android and iOS, Bedrock lets you save a custom server. A crossplay project may publish different connection details for Java and Bedrock.

Updated

Enter the Bedrock address and port in separate fields.

Follow these steps

  1. Find the Bedrock connection details

On the MineRate server page, look for Bedrock support and copy the Bedrock host and port. Do not assume its Java port will work.

  2. Open the server list

Start the regular Minecraft release and select Play → Servers → Add Server. This guide applies to computers and mobile devices; consoles have different limits.

  3. Fill in the address and port

Choose a name, put the host in Server Address and the number in Port. The default is 19132, but use the port published by the owner if it differs.

  4. Save and connect

Save the entry and join. For “Unable to connect to world”, check the address, edition and accepted version first, then try the connection troubleshooting guide.

Common questions

Why is there no Add Server button on my console?

Console Bedrock has a restricted server list. Read the console guide before trying to use a custom address.

Can I paste host:port into Server Address?

For Bedrock, split those values: host in Server Address and the numeric port in Port. Use the project’s Bedrock details, not its Java example.
