Share game preferences, not sensitive personal details. Start with a low-stakes session before sharing storage or build permissions.
Before you start
- Choose an edition, game mode and preferred language.
- Write your usual play time and time zone, not your address.
- Choose a contact username you are comfortable making public.
Follow these steps
Write a specific invitation
Describe what you want to do: a relaxed survival base, occasional minigames or a regular island team. State experience, edition, relevant version, usual play time and whether voice chat is optional. Avoid vague invitations that hide incompatible expectations.
Use the MineRate player board
Browse public posts without an account. To create your own, sign in and open My player posts in the cabinet. You explicitly choose a public Discord or Telegram username; MineRate does not publish a linked account automatically. New posts and edits require moderation.
Check compatibility before arranging a session
Compare time zones, language and the actual server address. Java and Bedrock players need a server that explicitly supports both. Ask about mods and allowed play styles; a preference in a post is not proof of server compatibility.
Agree on a small first project
Choose a short session with limited shared resources. Decide how you handle loot, building access, PvP, absences and leaving the team. Keep personal storage separate until trust develops and use the server’s permission system.
Maintain your post and use reporting tools
Close or delete the post when you find a group, and update it when your availability changes. Posts expire after the selected 7, 14 or 30 days. If someone harasses or impersonates you, preserve evidence and use the board’s report function and the contact platform’s block tools.
Common mistakes to avoid
Confusing moderation with identity verification
A reviewed post is not proof of identity or a guarantee of safety. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, recovery information or money to someone you just met.
Publishing more than you need to find a group
A public contact can be copied by other visitors. Do not include your home address, phone number or school; younger players should involve a parent or guardian in public contact choices.
Common questions
Does MineRate include private messaging?
The player board is a noticeboard, not an on-site chat. Posts provide an explicitly chosen public contact, and conversations take place on that platform.
Why is my post not visible yet?
New posts and edits enter moderation. Check the status and any moderation note in My player posts. Expired, closed and deleted posts are not shown publicly.
Can I browse without registering?
Yes. Reading public posts is open to guests. Creating, managing and reporting posts requires signing in.
